I am the author of ¿Me lo compro? (Libros de Cabecera, 2026), which presents my consumer-behaviour analysis model, El Estadio de la Validación, examining how a consumer’s social environment shapes purchasing decisions.
We do not decide alone
¿Me lo compro? is a question millions of people ask before making a purchase. It appears to be an individual decision, but consumers are surrounded by people, signals, and relationships that influence, condition, and sometimes determine their final choice.
The book is written for people who work with brands and want to understand where purchasing decisions really take shape, and for anyone curious about why we buy what we buy. It argues that reaching the consumer is not enough: brands must also understand the consumer’s environment.
The Stadium of Validation
The model examines who participates in a purchasing decision, at what moment, and with what influence. Its rings of influence distinguish levels of proximity and types of relationship, showing how social surroundings act before, during, and after a purchase.
Personal recommendations and social influence
The book’s presentation page highlights that 88% of buyers trust a personal recommendation more than an advertisement. This is presented there as context for the book’s argument that buying is a social process—not as a measured result of the Stadium model itself.
